The following message will be e-mailed to each tester. Observers will follow up with a phone call to set up an appointment, and will run the test at each tester's desk. The observer will provide directions, observe the tester, and ask the tester to evaluate their experience at the conclusion of the test.


Dear test volunteer:

Thank you for participating in this test of the Bose Intranet Site. An observer will be calling you soon to schedule a 30 minute test period sometime between Feb. 24 and March 6. The observer will come to your desk and watch as you search the Intranet for some pre-determined questions. You will then be asked to evaluate your experience. This is a test of how easy it is to find information on the Intranet, not of your ability to search for information.

The results of this test will be used as a base line of comparison. We will be conducting similar tests in the future after some changes and improvements have been made to see if they really make it easier to find information. Your help in evaluating the usability of the Bose Intranet is greatly appreciated!
